Residential Concrete Driveway

Project Overview

A Lakemoor family needed their badly cracked and settled asphalt driveway replaced with a permanent concrete solution. The old driveway had multiple potholes, large settlement cracks, and poor drainage that sent water toward the garage. RCC Masonry removed the existing asphalt, regraded the subbase with compacted CA-6 limestone for proper drainage slope, and poured a new 6-inch thick reinforced concrete driveway with fiber mesh and welded wire reinforcement throughout. We installed proper control joints at 10-foot intervals and applied a broom finish for excellent traction in all weather conditions. The new driveway features a gentle crown for positive drainage and flared aprons at the street for easy vehicle access. This driveway is built to last 30+ years with zero maintenance in the harsh Northern Illinois climate.
