Flagstone Walkway

Glenview, IL

Project Overview

A Glenview homeowner wanted a natural flagstone walkway to replace their aging concrete path from the driveway to the front entrance. RCC Masonry hand-selected irregular-cut Pennsylvania bluestone flagstone pieces for their rich color variation and natural texture. Our crew excavated the existing path, installed a compacted gravel base with proper drainage pitch away from the home's foundation, and dry-laid each flagstone piece with tight-fitting joints filled with polymeric sand for a clean, weed-resistant finish. The walkway curves gently through the front landscape beds, creating an inviting approach to the home that blends seamlessly with the mature plantings. We also installed matching flagstone stepping stones branching off to the side yard gate. The finished walkway gives the property a timeless, high-end look that complements the home's traditional architecture.
