Double-Wide Driveway Extension

Project Overview

A growing Huntley family needed more parking space and wanted to widen their existing single-car driveway to a full double-wide configuration. RCC Masonry excavated alongside the existing driveway, prepped a matching subbase, and poured a seamless 20-foot wide driveway extension that tied into the existing slab with doweled rebar connections and matching expansion joints. We used the same concrete mix design and broom finish direction as the original pour to ensure a cohesive appearance. The extension also included a small turnaround pad near the garage, eliminating the need to back out onto a busy street. The homeowner gained enough space for four vehicles and dramatically improved daily convenience and safety for their family.
