Custom Stone Fireplace

Project Overview

An Algonquin homeowner wanted to transform their plain drywall fireplace surround into a stunning natural stone focal point for their open-concept living room. RCC Masonry designed and installed a floor-to-ceiling stone veneer surround using hand-selected Fond du Lac limestone in a ledgestone pattern. We built a custom timber mantel shelf and integrated recessed LED lighting above the firebox. The hearth was extended with matching stone to create a functional sitting ledge. Our crew worked meticulously to ensure tight, consistent joints and a natural-looking stone layout that flows seamlessly from floor to ceiling. The finished fireplace became the centerpiece of the home, earning praise from the homeowner's family, friends, and even their interior designer.
