Concrete Driveway

Project Overview

A Marengo homeowner needed a full concrete driveway replacement after their existing driveway had cracked and settled beyond repair. RCC Masonry demolished and removed the old driveway, re-graded the subbase with compacted CA-6 gravel for proper drainage, and poured a new reinforced concrete driveway using 4,000 PSI air-entrained concrete with fiber mesh for crack resistance and long-term durability. We formed clean edges with thickened perimeter sections and applied a smooth broom finish for traction in all weather conditions. Control joints were precision-cut the following day to control cracking. The new driveway provides a clean, durable surface that dramatically improved the home's curb appeal and will stand up to Illinois winters for decades.
